My primary research area is Data Science and Ubiquitous Computing. I co-direct Data and Design lab. Our research goal is to make use of heterogeneous big data sources to gain insight and build models that can assist in policy development in education, health, energy, and transportation sectors in Bangladesh.
I have worked in the field of Mobile Health (mHealth). I have worked for the center of excellence for Mobile Sensor Data-to-Knowledge (www.md2k.org) at University of Memphis. My research focuses on the collection of physiological, behavioral, and environmental data using wearable and mobile sensor and the development of machine learning models in order to make robust and reliable inferences of health risk behaviors (e.g., Smoking, Drug use) in the natural environment.Amin Ahsan Ali, PhD, Principal Investigator
